AS Roma are not giving up on their pursuit of Jadon Sancho and will try to convince the Manchester United outcast to join this week, Sky Italy journalist Gianluca Di Marzio has revealed.
The Serie A side have identified Sancho as another reinforcement on the flank following their agreement to sign Aston Villa ace Leon Bailey on a season-long loan.
Di Marzio claims Bailey could help persuade his friend Sancho to follow him to Stadio Olimpico, despite the England international rejecting initial proposals from Roma.
Sancho has no future at Man United under head coach Ruben Amorim and is among the players expected to depart in the next two weeks, along with Alejandro Garnacho and Tyrell Malacia.

According to Di Marzio, Roma are expected to make contact with Sancho again on Tuesday to try and convince him to join.
Sancho is believed to have spoken several times with Giallorossi head coach Gian Piero Gasperini via video call but has not yet indicated he would be open to a move to Stadio Olimpico.
The 25-year-old is believed to be evaluating other options, which are not particularly concrete, giving Roma a glimmer of hope in their ongoing pursuit.
Sancho, who has less than a year left on his Man United contract, spent last season on loan at Chelsea, making 41 appearances, scoring five goals and providing 10 assists.
The Stamford Bridge side had an opportunity to make Sancho’s move permanent but declined it after failing to reach a breakthrough in contract negotiations.
Man United are anticipating a busy end to the summer window as they continue to search for a new midfielder following the collapse of their pursuit of Carlos Baleba.
According to GIVEMESPORT senior correspondent Fabrizio Romano, the Red Devils are keeping an eye on alternatives and are staying informed on Sporting Lisbon captain Morten Hjulmand’s situation.
The Portuguese champions do not want to sell the 26-year-old after losing frontman Viktor Gyokeres to Arsenal, with concrete talks not yet taking place between clubs.
