Leeds United chairman Paraag Marathe teases more transfer activity
There is real confidence running down Leeds’ veins following Monday night’s win, but the club are aware that they need a few more players to strengthen the squad.
Leeds are looking to add to their forward line before the end of the window, and chairman Paraag Marathe insisted that there is more to come from the market.
He indicated that Leeds will be busy club towards the end of the window, but stressed that they will still be deliberate with their decisions and will do everything to ensure the club remain in the Premier League this season.
“Absolutely [there is more to come]”, Marathe told Sky Sports News.
“History shows that there is always a lot of activity in the last few weeks and days of the window, and we will exercise every day that we can.
“We are still going to make the best decisions for us, and success is not final; it’s a journey. There are going to be bumps in the road, but it’s the courage to continue that matters.
“We will keep doing everything that we can to show that the club belongs [here].”
Leeds will hope to have a few more new faces in their squad when they travel to the Emirates Stadium to take on Arsenal next weekend.
