Deal Done – Leeds United to sign £18m international star

Leeds United start their Premier League campaign in style on Monday night. They dominated Everton at Elland Road to win all three points on the opening night, and are now set to back that victory with solid word in the transfer market in the final couple of weeks of the window.

Daniel Farke hailed a magical night as Leeds beat Everton 1-0 and got their Premier League campaign off to a rollicking start this season. The club are now keen to ensure that they further strengthen their squad to give themselves the best chance of survival in the top flight by the end of the campaign.

Leeds United has agreed a deal for AC Milan’s Noah Okafor

Leeds have been in advanced negotiations to sign Noah Okafor from AC Milan, and tabled a bid for the winger earlier this week.

The talks have been progressing smoothly between the two clubs, while the Whites have offered a four-year deal to the winger to move to Elland Road.

According to Sky Italia’s Gianluca Di Marzio, an agreement is now in place between Leeds and AC Milan for the winger to join the Premier League club this summer.

The two clubs have worked out a deal that would see Leeds pay a fee worth up to £18m to sign the Switzerland international in the ongoing window.

With the two clubs thrashing out an agreement, Leeds have progressed towards finalising Okafor’s transfer and are not anticipating any problems in agreeing personal terms with the player.

The winger is expected to travel to England soon to finalise the next steps of his imminent transfer to Leeds.

Leeds are gambling on Okafor’s fitness

The Swiss winger has had a few niggling injuries over the last three seasons and failed a few medicals.

Leeds are aware of Okafor’s fitness issues and have left it to their medical team to give the final verdict on the transfer in the coming days.

However, Leeds have shown a propensity towards betting on the fitness of a few players when it comes to acquisitions in the ongoing transfer window.

They signed Sebastiaan Bornauw, who has a patchy fitness record in recent seasons, earlier in the window, and secured the free transfer arrival of Dominic Calvert-Lewin last week.

Leeds hope that they can keep these players fit this season to bolster their chances of Premier League survival.
