Aston Villa have reportedly 'added to their shortlist' Chelsea striker Nicolas Jackson as they prepare to move again in the summer transfer window before the deadline on the 1st of September.

Jackson is likely to leave Stamford Bridge in the coming fortnight after falling down the pecking order after their own summer business; the Blues have added forwards Joao Pedro and Liam Delap from Brighton and Ipswich respectively and Jackson will struggle for game time this term.

The Senegal international, who featured in his nation's friendly win over Thomas Tuchel's Three Lions at Nottingham Forest's City Ground this summer, has been at the last two campaigns having joined from Villarreal in 2023, where he'd worked previously with Villa boss

now report that could rival the likes of Newcastle United and several other clubs in weighing up the addition of Jackson, who is valued by Transfermarkt at being worth in the region of 50m euros, but Bayern Munich - previously linked as they seek competition for Harry Kane - won't be pursuing a deal with Chelsea.

Jackson, 24, has scored 30 goals and produced 12 assists in 81 appearances for Chelsea and helped them to the Conference League and Club World Cup titles this summer. He missed the goalless draw on the opening day with Crystal Palace because of suspension which carried over from last season.
