Following Wolves’ 4-0 defeat to Man City at the weekend, Vitor Pereira revealed what Pep Guardiola said to him and it should have the owners concerned.
Vitor Pereira was in good spirits after the Premier League opener on Saturday, despite the heavy loss suffered at the hands of Pep and Man City.

Pereira’s need for new signings at Wolves has been very apparent in recent weeks, and he hasn’t been shy about pointing it out.
And now, one of the league’s greatest ever managers has justified his comments.
Pep Guardiola agrees with Vitor Pereira about the need for more signings at Wolves
In a post-game interview with DAZN Portugal, Pereira was asked what was said between him and the City boss at full time.
The question Pep asked is one Pereira has surely been pondering all summer.
He revealed: “”Pep himself, at the end of the game, asked me if the club wasn’t going to sign two, three, or four quality players to raise the level a bit. Because competing in this league, if we don’t have balance in all positions, come on, we’re going to suffer, let’s see.”

The reporter then asked: “Does Pep Guardiola have any players that might interest you?”
Pereira responded with a smile: “There are many, there are many. There are many on the shelf. There’s no shortage of players there.”
No doubt the Portuguese boss is envious of the depth of the Man City squad, but he also probably knows those players are out of his budget.
Fosun need to take notice if Pep Guardiola is so concerned
While Guardiola has never been caught in a battle down that end of the table, he has enough experience in the Premier League, winning it six times, for his words to carry some weight.

He recognises the concerning lack of depth, and his frank comments to a fellow manager stem from a genuine worry about Wolves’ ability to compete in the top-flight with the squad as is.
With less than two weeks to go in the window, the outlook for Wolves is not the best.
Pep’s comments won’t upset fans, who are fully aware of the shortfalls of the current squad, but hopefully, it does send Fosun into some sort of panic and spur them into action.
