With less than a fortnight left of the transfer window, Liverpool still have some business to attend to as the clock ticks down.

Arne Slot has already bolstered his squad early on but might seize the chance to bring in additional players in the coming days. Liverpool could potentially make a move for Alexander Isak if they receive positive signals from Newcastle, after the forward was left out of the Magpies' squad against Aston Villa.

The Reds might also secure a deal for Marc Guehi from Crystal Palace to strengthen their defence. There are also members of Slot's team who could be on their way out. The Dutch manager has already bid farewell to Jarell Quansah, Tyler Morton and Caoimhin Kelleher among others to raise funds, and Ben Doak is the latest.

More departures could be on the horizon. Kostas Tsimikas will need to seek a move if he wants regular playing time, while the future of Stefan Bajcetic still needs to be sorted out.

Here, the Daily Star Sport looks at the latest Liverpool transfer news.

Liverpool might see two more players leave in the final days of the transfer window. Kostas Tsimikas was absent from the first squad of the season against Bournemouth, having become the third-choice left-back following Milos Kerkez's arrival. The Greek international is reportedly on Nottingham Forest's radar, with the Reds willing to let go of a player not in Arne Slot's plans.

Meanwhile, Harvey Elliott was present at Anfield for the victory against the Cherries, though he remained unused on the substitutes' bench.

The midfielder has caught the attention of RB Leipzig, with the German outfit expected to table an official bid once Xavi Simons' future is resolved.

Sweden manager Jon Dahl Tomasson has urged supporters not to rush to judgement over Alexander Isak and cautioned they might not be understanding to the complete picture, as the striker pushes for a move away.

"First of all: Alex is an extremely professional player. A fantastic character and personality. I have spoken to Alex a lot during this period," he told Fotbollskanalen.

"Situations like this are quite complex. These are extremely complex environments that the players operate in. I'm sure it will work out in the end, but you have to know the whole picture before you draw conclusions. That's always a good tip."

When questioned whether outsiders lack the full story, he continued: "I don't think we know it. I don't know the whole picture either. Spanish reports suggest that Liverpool's signing of Giovanni Leoni and their pursuit of Marc Guehi, makes a Real Madrid move for Ibrahima Konate increasingly probable. Konate, who has just one year left on his contract, has frequently been linked with a move to the Bernabeu.

Konate is reportedly high on Los Blancos' transfer wishlist and is seen as an ideal fit. A last-minute move in the closing days of the transfer window hasn't been ruled out.
