Newcastle United stars Dan Burn and Bruno Guimaraes had a hilarious exchange over social media after the Englishman posted a random video on his Instagram account.
Some players may have been enjoying some downtime following the goalless draw against Aston Villa on Saturday, but not Dan Burn.
The towering centre-back is widely regarded as a hero on Tyneside after a week which saw him receive his first call-up for the England squad, score in the Carabao Cup final, and make his international debut.
Despite the likes of Sven Botman being fully fit and new signing Malick Thiaw being available, Burn was favoured in Eddie Howe’s starting XI against Villa. The 33-year-old put in a brilliant performance to keep a clean sheet at a ground the Magpies tend to struggle at.
Burn recently signed a new deal with Newcastle until 2026, with an option to extend another year, so Howe is not planning on letting the defender go easily.
Following his performance, Burn shared a video of himself taking some time off, but his actions caught the attention of Newcastle captain Bruno Guimaraes, who had to say something.

Bruno Guimaraes tells Dan Burn to show up to training after bizarre slide incident
Since making his social media account, Burn has been sharing funny images and videos of his day-to-day life away from the football pitch.
In the launch for Newcastle’s third kit, Burn quoted Steve Bruce’s random ‘how’s the bacon‘ comment when he was manager, but the England star has taken things to another level with his latest video.

On Instagram, Burn shared a video of himself jumping down an inflatable slide. Burn bounced down, rather than sliding, and was seen clutching the backs of his legs in pain. Burn had to clarify in the comments that he was ok, saying, “I’m not injured.”
The video was also seen by Guimaraes, who sent a hilarious warning. “I hope you are gonna train tomorrow.” he said.
Had there actually been a problem, there is no doubt that Burn would have been included in a list for the most bizarre injuries in football history.
Newcastle United star Dan Burn has eyes on ‘spicy’ Liverpool clash
The Magpies got their first point of the season against Villa, but the fans will be hoping they can go one better when they host defending Premier League Champions Liverpool at St James’ Park.
It will be the first meeting between the two sides since the Carabao Cup final, but a lot has happened between the two clubs since then.
Newcastle fans have turned on Alexander Isak, who is seemingly pushing for a move to Liverpool. The Reds’ interest has unsettled Isak to the point that he is refusing to play for the Magpies in the hope that he can get his move away.
However, Newcastle have no intention of selling Isak to Liverpool, even after they bid £110million for him.
Burn thinks the Liverpool game will be very lively, speaking on TNT Sport, he said: “Yeah, probably [about the game being “spicy”].
“Obviously we beat Liverpool in the final but apart from that we’ve never beaten them in the league [under Eddie Howe].
“It’s something we want to do and I think probably with everything that may have gone on this off-season, it’s going to make it a good game.
