Tottenham have found a suitor for two sales they have to make

As Tottenham Hotspur await word from Manchester City and Crystal Palace on the status of attempted transfers for attacking stars Savinho and Eberechi Eze, they can't ignore that there are other items of business that must be addressed before the summer 2025 transfer window offiically closes in less than two weeks.

Tottenham haven't made any substantial sales in the summer transfer window despite actively shopping a few players, and while it's not the end of the world if veteran contributor Yves Bissouma ultimately stays to maintain depth, there are a couple of other players Spurs need to get rid of expeditiously to clear out space. Because unlike Bissouma, they don't have any sort of a role to play.

The first and most obvious is Bryan Gil. In perpetual loan with La Liga clubs, Gil finally rebounded somewhat at Girona, but his career remains at a crossroads and his development sidetracked. As we saw years ago with Eibar, the Beatles-inspired attacking midfielder/winger can be a nifty little player in the Spanish top flight, but he's never going to cut it in the Premier League and is someone Spurs need to finally move on from permanently.

Another player to get rid of is Manor Solomon, who is stronger and better at scoring than Gil but is also a step below the Premier League. He had a good season on loan in the Championship with Leeds, and while it looked like a permanent stay with the Premier League returnees was likely, that transfer situation has been glacially slow to develop, if not non-existent entirely.

Tottenham need to make a move happen

------------------------------------

Tottenham have found it tough to move on from these relatively young (but not actually young nor truly high-upside) attacking players this summer as they revamp their attack with actual game-changers suiting a Champions League level, such as Eze and Savinho.

They may have just found a solution to dump Solomon and Gil off in one, though, as [Gianluca Di Marzio reports that](https://gianlucadimarzio.com/bologna-rowe-gil-solomon-news-calciomercato/) Bologna, whose goal has now become reaching European football in the Italian top flight, are interested in signing both forwards from Tottenham.

Spurs would do well to pick up the phone and begin negotiating with the Rossoblu immediately. If they can finagle something more than a straight-up loan deal, they have to take it, because it will mean less wages, potential transfer money in their pockets, and space in the squad for signings with more capabilit to help Spurs this season.
