Ademola Lookman could be an option for Arsenal if Leandro Trossard leaves in the final fortnight of the summer transfer window, according to a report.

Leandro Trossard looks increasingly likely to leave Arsenal, with reports in the last 24 hours suggesting the likes of Brentford and Aston Villa have joined the race to sign him.
Throughout the summer window, the suggestion has been that Arsenal could move to sign a left-winger, but only if either Gabriel Martinelli or Trossard leaves first.
Now that Trossard might be on the way out, Fabrizio Romano has suggested Ademola Lookman could be an option for Arsenal.

Speaking on his YouTube channel, Romano reported that Lookman’s proposed deal to join Inter Milan is at an end, with no agreement between the Serie A club and Atalanta.
As a result, Lookman could move elsewhere, with Romano suggesting the Premier League is the destination to keep an eye on. There’s nothing advanced at the moment, but Arsenal are a possibility.
“For example, let’s see what happens at Arsenal,” Romano said. “Arsenal are very happy with the squad they have right now up front. In terms of age, Lookman is probably not exactly the profile of player that Arsenal usually sign.
“But maybe if Trossard decides to leave in the final weeks, that could be an opportunity.”

Alfredo Pedulla had reported earlier in the summer that Arsenal were revisiting a potential move for Lookman, having made an initial approach to the player last August.
At the time, Atalanta were asking for €50m (£43.2m), and that reportedly remains the price for the winger today. The Serie A club already turned down €45m from Inter, so it’s clear they don’t plan to accept anything less than €50m.
Yet perhaps the Italian side would be more willing to do business with a foreign club, knowing it’s less likely Lookman would come back to haunt them – unlike if he joined Inter.
