Cleveland Browns Heading into Final Preseason Game: What We've Been Told

_OBR Insider Lane Adkins contributed to this report..._

The Cleveland Browns were able to get another win, this time on the road against the Philadelphia Eagles in the second week of the preseason. Hitting another benchmark in the process as they prepare for the season, the product is coming further into focus.

With Shedeur Sanders sidelined with a oblique injury and Dillon Gabriel now largely recovered from his hamstring injury, it was Gabriel's turn to lead the Browns offense in the preseason. Largely operating from the same playbook, Gabriel's version of the offense had some slight changes that favored his playing style. He was able to lead the Browns offense to a touchdown on his first drive and went five out of five on third downs.

Unfortunately, he was also responsible for two turnovers in the game. After an almost flawless first quarter, Gabriel threw an interception that went for a touchdown on the first play of the second quarter. Later, he would also have a fumble lost on a botched handoff. Both times the ball ended up in the hands of Eagles rookie safety Andrew Mukuba.

The turnovers led to all of the Eagles 13 points, making the game closer than it otherwise would've been. Not only did the Browns defense dominate the Eagles, but they scored a touchdown of their own as K.J. Henry caught a tipped pass and returned it for a touchdown.

A convincing win for the Browns and more opportunities for young players to make cases for why they should either make the roster or have a larger role, here's the latest theOBR is hearing about how the team will proceed from here.
