A key Manchester United first-team player at Old Trafford under Ruben Amorim has now spoken out about his club future amid mounting speculation this summer.
Manchester United began their 2025-26 Premier League campaign on Sunday and the Red Devils hosted Arsenal at Old Trafford in their first encounter this season.
The Red Devils did impress under Ruben Amorim on the opening weekend of the Premier League season, but United suffered a 1-0 defeat to Arsenal at Old Trafford.
Altay Bayindir was at fault for Arsenal’s first-half opener – which later became the winner – with the United shot-stopper failing to properly clear Declan Rice’s corner.
The 27-year-old Turkish shot-stopper flapped at Declan Rice’s cross in the first half and Altay Bayindir subsequently pushed the ball to the back post of his United net.
Riccardo Calafiori arrived at the back post in time and the 23-year-old Arsenal star turned in a close-range header to put the Gunners 1-0 up in the 13th minute.

Casemiro now breaks his silence over his Man Utd future after the Premier League defeat to Arsenal at Old Trafford
Casemiro was deployed in the two-man Manchester United midfield pivot alongside Bruno Fernandes for Sunday’s 1-0 Premier League loss to Arsenal at Old Trafford.
The 33-year-old Brazil international played the full first half and 20 minutes into the second half before Ruben Amorim subbed him off for midfielder Manuel Ugarte.
Casemiro had a rejuvenation in form in the second half of the 2024-25 campaign and re-established himself in the United first-team squad after Amorim’s arrival.
The former Real Madrid star impressed in United’s run to the Europa League final last season, with Casemiro netting twice and registering three assists in 13 matches.
Speaking after United’s Premier League clash against Arsenal, Casemiro shut down the speculation around his future and the midfielder sent out a clear-cut message.
“I am very happy here,” he said, as per Manchester United’s official website.
“My family is happy here. I enjoy every day at Carrington and at Old Trafford.
“If people talk from the outside, that’s fine, it doesn’t interest me. I just want to focus on winning.”

Casemiro has attracted transfer interest and the Man Utd star’s current contract situation at Old Trafford
Casemiro is under contract with United until 2026 and it is widely believed that the Brazilian defensive midfielder will leave Old Trafford as a free agent next summer.
The ex-Los Blancos ace’s influence at United has waned since his debut season at the Premier League club under former Red Devils manager Erik ten Hag.
Casemiro has been met with criticism at times over his role in the middle of the park, including the Brazil and United midfielder ‘lacking the legs’ needed to play in the role.
The Brazil international has been linked with Serie A outfit Roma and Turkish side Besiktas in the past, while Casemiro has also been on the radar of Al Nassr.
Casemiro arrived at United in 2022 from Real Madrid in a blockbuster transfer worth up to £70m, with the Brazilian playing 126 matches to date for the Red Devils.
