Training camp buzz usually focuses on obvious contenders, but some teams are flying under the radar despite having legitimate reasons for optimism.
Former NFL quarterback Dan Orlovsky believes two NFC West squads aren’t getting the recognition they deserve heading into the new season.
Orlovsky made his case during an appearance on The Pat McAfee Show, highlighting teams that could surprise people this year.
“I think two teams that probably have not been talked about enough, that I think are going to be really good teams, are Seattle and Arizona,” Orlovsky said.

I think the Seahawks are gonna be awesome and that offense looks fantastic with Klint Kubiak..
The Cardinals are gonna be really difficult to play against" ~ @danorlovsky7 #PMSLive pic.twitter.com/PU4demvhO6

The Seattle Seahawks caught his attention under new offensive coordinator Klint Kubiak.
What stood out during preseason was how polished their system already appeared.
Seattle mixed snap counts effectively while incorporating motion and shifts throughout their formations.
They varied run schemes and changed quarterback launch points to keep defenses guessing.
The Seahawks attacked with quick passes when needed but weren’t afraid to push the ball downfield.
They also used play-action effectively to create big opportunities.
That versatility suggested a complete offensive approach rather than a one-dimensional attack.
Orlovsky expects Seattle’s secondary to remain excellent, which could make them a real threat in the division.
While he still favors the Los Angeles Rams to win the NFC West, the Seahawks appear ready to challenge.
The Arizona Cardinals also earned praise from the analyst.
He credits head coach Jonathan Gannon for developing a physical, aggressive style that opposing teams will struggle against.
Last season’s defensive struggles showed signs of improvement as the young coordinator gained experience.
Arizona added key pieces this offseason.
Darius Robinson returns healthy after missing time with injuries, while Josh Sweat brings veteran pass-rushing ability.
Marvin Harrison Jr. enters his second season with higher expectations after a promising rookie campaign.
The Cardinals have the talent to be more than just spoilers in what should be a competitive division race.
