Club turn to Sunderland man as he considers exit – Offer being prepared amid Championship interest

Sint-Truiden are eyeing up a move for Sunderland goalkeeper Blondy Nna Noukeu, who is considering a departure in search of game time.

That’s [according to Africa Foot](https://africafoot.com/saint-trond-vise-blondy-nna-noukeu/), who report that Sunderland could allow the goalkeeper to depart after strengthening in goal this summer.

According to their information, Sint-Truiden are closely monitoring the 23-year-old’s situation and are preparing an offer of around €200,000 to convince Sunderland to sell. The Cameroonian is currently valued at €150,000 by the likes of Transfermarkt.

Sint-Truiden are not the only side interested as the goalkeeper has also been attracting attention from several Championship sides, including Derby County and Sheffield United.

He has previously spent time on loan at Stoke City but has never made an appearance in the division. He only made four appearances for Sunderland’s reserve team last season also.

Now he could be set for a return to Belgium, where he was previously trained at Royal Excel Mouscron, if talks between Sint-Truiden and Sunderland are successful.

The Black Cats appear unlikely to make life difficult given Noukeu’s situation at the Stadium of Light, but the Belgian side are yet to fully open talks so it’s a situation to keep an eye on for the time being.
