Fabrizio Romano claims Manchester United are weighing up a quick sale of Rasmus Hojlund after his absence against Arsenal.
Romano : United open to moving on from Hojlund
**Manchester United**’s patience with Rasmus Hojlund appears to be running out. The young Dane costed the club a hefty £72m just over a year ago. Now, he was missing from the matchday squad in Sunday’s 1–0 defeat to Arsenal.
That decision by Ruben Amorim has sparked talk that Man Utd are ready to move him on before the transfer window shuts. As per Fabrizio Romano, the club are open to both a permanent transfer or a loan deal that includes an option to buy. The asking price being floated suggests United want a €6m loan fee up front. And a buy option in the region of €40m to €45m.
Meanwhile, AC Milan have been tipped as early frontrunners. But, several European clubs are monitoring the situation. For Utd, the move would free up wages and ease the competition up front.

Striker struggles and deadline pressure
Hojlund’s time at Old Trafford has been a mixed bag. He showed flashes of promise last season with 10 goals and four assists across all competitions. But, consistency has been an issue. Amorim’s recent decisions underline that the coaching staff no longer see him as a key figure.
Now, Sesko has been handed his debut against Arsenal and even Mason Mount trialed was used in an advanced role. The message is clear, Hojlund is running out of chances.
Having already been benched in pre-season, the Dane now faces the likelihood of being sold just a year after his big-money move from Atalanta. With three years still left on his contract, the Red Devils are keen to strike a deal quickly.
Alongside Hojlund, the club are also exploring exits for other fringe players, with Tyrell Malacia in talks with Roma. The coming days will be decisive, and Hojlund’s chapter at Old Trafford could be closing faster than anyone expected.
