Albion turn up the heat for WSL season after win over Crystal Palace

The Seagulls were unimpressive in both league games against Palace last season but there was no mistake this time as they beat their relegated opponents 5-0.

The run-out at Lancing gave striker Carla Camacho and goalkeeper Chiamaka Nnadozie chance to get involved.

Nnadozie was playing her first game since helping Nigeria to success at WAFCON.

Kiko Seike won possession to score the opener and the tally was latter topped up by Nadine Noordam, Marisa Olislagers and Bex Rayner, who unleashed a spectacular volley. There was also an own goal.

Japan defender Moeka Minami played a good part in the win and was involved in a goal.

Albion have two friendlies as part of what is proving to be an intense week of work in southern Spain.

The WSL season kicks off at Broadfield Stadium on September 7, when Aston Villa visit.
