Chelsea will hope to secure their first victory of the new Premier League season when they travel to face London rivals West Ham United on Friday evening.
The Blues were held to a goalless draw by Crystal Palace in their season opener on Sunday, and manager Enzo Maresca will hope to see his side improve in front of goal when they visit The London Stadium.
Tha Hamers, meanwhile, were beaten 3-0 by newly-promoted Sunderland in their first match of the season on Saturday, and manager Graham Potter – who previously coached Chelsea – will expect serious improvement against his former side.
In the meantime, it has emerged that one of Europe’s biggest clubs are showing interest in a Chelsea forward.
According to CaughtOffside, Italian giants Inter Milan are set to reignite their interest in Chelsea striker Christopher Nkunku.
The report claims that the Serie A giants have reopened discussions with the Frenchman’s representatives, having previously explored a move for the player.

Inter had ben keen on Atalanta’s Ademola Lookman, but the report claims that the club are now once again monitoring Nkunku with a deal for Lookman looking increasingly unlikely.
Initially Inter had been put off by Chelsea’s valuation of Nkunku, 27, as well as the player’s poor injury record, but the report claims that the Italian outfit are now once again exploring the move as they look to bolster their attacking options before the close of the transfer window.
Chelsea are said to have initially been demanding a fee of around £38 million for the France international, but the London side have now lowered their asking price to a figure in the region of £35 million.
Nkunku joined the Blues from German side RB Leipzig back in 2023 but was plagued by injury during his first season in London.
Last term the Frenchman struggled to force his way into Maresca’s first-choice line-up, starting just nine of Chelsea’s 38 Premier League games.
