David Moyes has made no bones about wanting Everton to sign more players in the final weeks of the transfer window.
Former Wolves goalkeeper Tom King became the Toffees’ seventh signing this summer, but the Scottish manager wants more bodies in before the end of August.
Everton lost 1-0 to Leeds United at Elland Road on 18 August after Lukas Nmecha’s late penalty in the Premier League.
Beto and Thierno Barry featured in West Yorkshire, but it doesn’t look like they will be getting any more support up front anytime soon.

Thomas Thomasberg adamant Everton target Franculino not for sale
FC Midtjylland will not sell the likes of Franculino in the coming weeks amid interest from the Toffees, Thomas Thomasberg says.
MORE TOFFEES STORIES
The Superliga outfit’s manager has no intention of letting his best striker leave in the ongoing transfer as the Blues monitor the Guinea-Bissau forward’s development.
Thomasberg isn’t listening to rumours of the 21-year-old striker’s possible move away from the MCH Arena and is instead focused on bringing the best out of him.
Speaking to the media, as relayed by Ekstra Bladet on 18 August, the Danish head coach said: “We are not going to sell any of our best strikers. I think that is the same message you get, no matter who you ask.
“Everyone knows what we’re dealing with. I don’t know if he can get many more suitors than he already has. I only hear from you [the media] that he has a lot of suitors. I don’t spend that much time on that. I spend a lot of time on making sure we can make him function as well as possible.”

Beto can’t start for Moyes after Leeds frustration
Moyes wasn’t happy with Chris Kavanagh after the defeat at Elland Road due to the penalty Leeds were awarded.
James Tarkowski was penalised for a seeming handball, but many of the Toffees faithful would argue against the decision.
The Blues found their feet in the second half after Leeds dominated the proceedings before the break, but the Scottish manager has every right to be frustrated with the players.
Franculino has scored eight goals in eight appearances for Midtjylland this season.
The 21-year-old has 10 caps for his national team.
In 2023, the young centre-forward joined the Danish club as a free agent.
Moyes wasn’t happy with Beto’s performances during pre-season, and the centre-forward failed to impress in West Yorkshire, highlighting the need for someone like Franculino.
The 21-year-old has had an electric start to the new season, and it isn’t surprising to see why a team like the Toffees have him on their radar.
Standing at 6’1″, the Guinea-Bissau youngster feels like a perfect build for the Premier League, but it remains to be seen whether he will be sold.
As for Beto, he shouldn’t start against Brighton on 24 August, and Moyes would be sensible to hand Barry the reins up front.
