The syndicate of Seagulls players past and present have paid out £40,000 to enter the three-year-old into the Sky Bet City Of York Stakes on Saturday.
Albion chairman Bloom won the race last year with Lake Forest – who is among the field of 13 for this year’s contest.
The race now has Group One status and the winner takes £377,000 in prize money.
Albion players including Lewis Dunk. Jason Steele and James Milner celebrated as Seagulls Eleven won a Group Three race at Goodwood recently.
There are plans to potentially race him in Australia but a trip to the Ebor Festival is also exciting for the ownership team.
Saturday’s race represents a big step up in challenge and his rivals will include Qirat, a shock 150-1 winner of the Sussex Stakes recently.
The Ralph Beckett-trained four-year-old was added to the Sussex field late in the day, primarily to carry out pace-making duties for Field Of Gold, but he became the biggest-priced winner of a Group One in modern history.
It cost his owners Juddmonte £70,000 to add him to the Goodwood race and they have paid another £40,000 to run him in York’s seven-furlong contest.
Seagulls Eleven was as short as 14-1 on Tuesday but some bookies had him priced at 25-1.
