It’s no secret that Sacramento Kings center Domantas Sabonis’ play in the paint ranks up there with the very best in the league. NBA 2K26’s ratings concur with that sentiment.
NBA 2K26 unveiled its top-ten players at post control ahead of the game’s release on September 5th, with Sabonis included on a list that features several of the best post threats in the game today.
Three-time MVP Nikola Jokic, one-time MVP Joel Embiid, and two-time NBA MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo are also included in the list of NBA 2K26’s top threats in the paint.
Here’s where Sabonis ranks among the best post players in the upcoming game:

Sabonis has been one of the best post players in the game over the past three seasons, leading the NBA in rebounds per game in each of the last three campaigns–not to mention a career-best 13.9 boards per game in 2024-25.
The three-time NBA All-Star posted averages of 19.1 points, 13.9 rebounds, and 6.0 assists per game last season while shooting 59 percent from the field and 41 percent from three-point range over 70 appearances.
NBA 2K26 has identified Sabonis as the third-best post player in the game, only behind Jokic and Embiid in this year’s game.
