West Ham could finally sell Edson Alvarez in the coming days.
The defensive midfielder has fallen out of favour under Graham Potter, and it is understood that the ex-Brighton manager wants to sell the Mexico star.
Alvarez has attracted interest from the likes of Borussia Dortmund and former club Ajax, as he is surplus to requirements at the London Stadium.
An exit seems like the perfect solution for all parties, and it could happen sooner rather than later.

West Ham would save £15.6m from Alvarez sale
Fenerbahce are in talks to sign Alvarez from West Ham, with a move potentially being completed imminently.

The Mexican earns £100,000-a-week in East London, according to Capology, which works out at £5.2million per year.
The 27-year-old is contracted until 2028, so that is a total of £15.6m owed to the former Ajax man if he stayed for the remaining three years on his deal.
Therefore, it makes financial sense for Alvarez to depart this summer to free up a huge sum on the wage sheet, as Potter does not see him as a part of his future plans.
Alvarez sale can fund West Ham transfer spree
The funds raised from an Alvarez sale, plus the amount of wages that would be freed up, could help fund a spending spree for the Irons.
Potter is in need of a number of additions after the dismal 3-0 loss to Sunderland, and it is clear that he does not rate the 93-cap international very highly.
Alvarez has made 73 appearances for the Hammers
13 of those came under Potter’s leadership

It seems like an exit makes sense for all parties on this occasion, so it should be expected to accelerate, so that the Hammers can get their targets in before the 1 September deadline.
If they fail to shift Alvarez and get in the right players, it could be a really difficult campaign for the E20 outfit, and they may end up in a relegation battle rather than being near the top half of the Premier League table.
If they can get an offer near the £35million that they paid for him, it would be great business to sell and bring in younger, more dynamic options.
