Manchester United boss Ruben Amorim has reportedly decided that Joshua Zirkzee will not be sold in the summer transfer window.
The Red Devils signed the 24-year-old striker from Bologna last summer for a fee of £33.6m, but he has failed to make a strong impact in his first season at the club.
Zirkzee managed only seven goals and three assists in 49 matches in all competitions, but Amorim is not willing to give up on him quickly.
United have bolstered their forward department this summer by signing Benjamin Sesko, Bryan Mbeumo and Mathues Cunha, and they are likely to offload some of their underperforming players to balance the books.
Zirkzee not going anywhere

Back in May, reports emerged that United could be willing to offload both Zirkzee and Rasmus Hojlund due to the club's delicate financial situation.
Marcus Rashford left the club to join Barcelona on loan, while the likes of Antony, Jadon Sancho, and Alejandro Garnacho are almost certain to depart before the end of the window.
The Red Devils scored 42 times in their 36 league matches last season, and it became clear that the attacking areas need a major overhaul.
While Hojlund faces an uncertain future, Zirkzee can fully focus on the 2025-26 season, after the club reportedly decided that he would not be sold.
Fabrizio Romano claimed on X that the board and Amorim made the decision months ago, and the player did not hold talks with any Italian club for a possible move this summer.
Hojlund's potential exit should come as a boost for Zirkzee

United are actively looking to offload Hojlund, although the striker has insisted that he wants to fight for his place in the side.
The former Atalanta striker was left out of the matchday squad for United's 1-0 loss against Arsenal, and several clubs, including Napoli and AC Milan, are reportedly keen to sign the 22-year-old.
If Hojlund departs, Zirkzee can expect to get more games and prove his quality alongside Sesko and Cunha.
The former Bologna striker, however, needs to raise his level to stay at the club, and should look to make an impact with every opportunity he gets.
