Stats Show How Impressive Vikings’ Udfa Lineman Has Been In Preseason

The Minnesota Vikings may have found a star.

Joe Huber may have gone unnoticed in the 2025 NFL Draft, but he’s making a name for himself in the preseason.

He’s been ranked at the top of the PFF grades among rookie offensive linemen in consecutive weeks.

Last week, he logged 49 pass protection snaps without giving up a single pressure, via The 33rd Team.

Rookie offensive linemen with 15+ pass protection snaps and 0 pressures allowed in Week 2 of the preseason:

Joe Huber, MIN – 49 pass snaps

Wyatt Bowles, LAR – 38

Drew Kendall, PHI – 25

Ben Dooley, LAR – 21

Myles Hinton, PHI – 18

Cameron Williams, PHI – 18

Josh Priebe, MIA – 17… https://t.co/N8fHst3sty pic.twitter.com/YQm9A6SKPo

Granted, this was against backups and in the preseason, but that’s difficult to do even for veteran players and established starters.

The Vikings seemed to be set on the offensive line, but Huber is putting pressure on them to find him a spot on the roster and maybe even a rotational spot as a starter.

Huber has been out there for 122 snaps in the preseason.

His PFF grade may not have been as remarkable as it was the previous week, mostly because of two false-start penalties, but other than that, he was almost flawless.

Huber has put the Vikings in a complicated position.

He’s proven to be too good to be left off the roster, and any team would steal him from their practice squad right away.

So, they need to find a way to keep him and make the most of his skills.
