**With under two weeks until the transfer window closes, the Alexander Isak rumours show no sign of slowing down.**
Newcastle United fans have had to endure an endless barrage of Isak-based stories, conversation and speculation since the summer started, and what started as media rumours and hearsay soon became a very real concern.
Heading into the summer, nobody would have thought that Alexander Isak was going anywhere during this transfer window, but soon enough, the truth came out, and Isak started to agitate for a move.
The standoff continues as Newcastle struggles to find a replacement, but there's more behind it, with some reports claiming that the PIF are adamant that even if a new top striker is signed in the next two weeks, Isak is going nowhere.
Fabrizio Romano says Liverpool only want Alexander Isak
-------------------------------------------------------
Now, Fabrizio Romano, who has become obsessed with Liverpool signing Isak, has taken to his YouTube channel to hammer home that the Reds are biding their time and will bid again.
> “What's Liverpool position? Very silent, very quiet, but not sleeping on this one. Liverpool are ready to bid again for Isak.“Liverpool, if Newcastle will open doors, will be very ready with a new proposal. Forget about Liverpool not bidding, they will be very ready, they are very ready and this is very clear.“Liverpool have never called any other striker as of today, then if it changes tonight or tomorrow I will let you know, but Liverpool didn't approach any other striker, only Alexander Isak.

> “The focus is very clear, waiting to see what's going to happen with Newcastle, but the player is very clear, the club is very clear and so just waiting to be together as soon as possible.”
Eddie Howe would have a mammoth challenge trying to reintegrate Alexander Isak into the squad
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Newcastle fans have got to the point now where they want Isak gone due to his abhorrent behaviour, but the club still wants him to stay, and Eddie Howe does too.
Howe still feels he can reintegrate him into the squad, but reports from inside the club suggest that Isak has lost the respect of many of the players, so we're not sure we can see how.
Ideally, Newcastle would bring in Goncalo Ramos from PSG, with Isak going the other way, leaving Liverpool with nothing. Obviously, we just want this because it means we don't strengthen a rival and it's absolutely nothing to do with spite or bitterness.
