Leeds United made history on Monday night with their win against Everton. The Whites became the first Championship title holders since 2008 to win their Premier League opener.
Leeds dominated the early proceedings and should have scored, but finishing on the night was poor. Daniel Farke’s side also limited Everton to close to zero dangerous chances. Then with 10 minutes to go till the end of the game, James Tarkowski was deemed to have committed a handball in the box.

Lukas Nmecha was on hand to score the only goal of the game. Farke was pleased with the result, stating how fast games can change in the top flight:
“At Premier League level one moment can change momentum, an experienced side like Everton can take advantage, score a goal, take advantage and then we’d get praise for a good performance but no points. Pretty pleased we could reward ourselves with a late goal and to protect a clean sheet. Always have to be switched on.”

Sacha Tavolieri is reporting that Fulham have reached an agreement with Atalanta for the sale of Rodrigo Muniz. The Brazilian striker was a long-term target for Leeds this summer. The Whites even had a bid rejected for him earlier in the window. Fulham have reached an agreement in principle for a £35million fee, but will only sanction a deal when they replace Muniz.

Leeds could add a new striker after Okafor
On Tuesday, the Whites reached an agreement to sign Noah Okafor from AC Milan. The winger is expected in England in the next few days to complete his medical and finalize the paperwork.
But based on his comments in Friday’s press conference, another center forward could arrive at Elland Road soon.
