Manchester United could be tempted to make a move for a goalkeeper in the final weeks of the summer transfer window after the manner of their opening weekend defeat to Arsenal. Ruben Amorim's side produced an impressive team performance on Sunday afternoon but were ultimately let down after a huge error from Altay Bayindir.
The Turkish goalkeeper was selected instead of Andre Onana but failed to take his chance with a costly error in the decisive moment of the match. Bayindir's mistake raised further questions over his suitability for the back-up role at Old Trafford, while the jury is still out on Onana after a difficult two years at the club.
Speaking after the Arsenal defeat, Amorim insisted he was happy with the goalkeeping options at his disposal, but there is obvious concern for the rest of the season.
