Newcastle United fans made their feelings towards Alexander Isak very clear on Saturday.
The Magpies kicked off the new Premier League season without Alexander Isak. He was sitting at home as Newcastle drew 0-0 with Aston Villa.
It was a frustrating game for Newcastle, who probably would have won if Isak had played.
But the 25-year-old was not at Villa Park, and he received a strong message from the Toon supporters that were there.
After the game, Newcastle aimed chants at Isak. There were cries of ‘one greedy b******’ and ‘we don’t care about Isak, he don’t care about me, all we care about is NUFC’.
Eddie Howe was happy with the Newcastle supporters, admitting they are free to express how they feel after the game.

Ben Foster says Alexander Isak will never play for Newcastle United again
However, Ben Foster believes the chants from Newcastle United fans prove that there is absolutely no way back for Isak.
He spoke about what happened on Saturday on his YouTube channel, admitting that the Newcastle United owners will be more likely to sell Isak after what happened at Villa Park.

“Did you see the Newcastle fans singing about Isak? He can never play for that team again!” he said.
Foster was then asked if Newcastle fans would change their mind if Isak returned and scored next week.
“I don’t think so,” he added.
“Newcastle fans are different. Them North East teams are different. This is in their blood. He has besmirched them.
“He’s in the mud. He’s done. He cannot play for Newcastle ever again.
“He’s got the required result now. The club know it now. They’ve seen it and gone ‘we need to get him sold’.
“It’s a horrible way to go about it but the modern day footballer, it’s the way they go.”
Ben Foster is wrong about Alexander Isak
Given the situation, Newcastle would probably prefer to sell Isak right now. However, that is dependent on getting a replacement through the door.
That is going to be very difficult, with less than two weeks to go before the summer transfer window closes. Newcastle have tried to replace Isak, but the likes of Benjamin Sesko, Hugo Ekitike and Joao Pedro moved elsewhere.
Therefore, Isak may have to stay put. And if he does stay, he will surely be reintegrated. He is not going to sit on the sidelines until the transfer window opens again. That simply is not feasible.
If Isak does play for Newcastle again, supporters will let them know how they feel. They have every right to given the disrespect he has shown the club.
But the situation would change if he started to score goals again in black and white. While his legacy at Newcastle United is ruined, there is still a chance he could play for the club again.
