Everton are reportedly looking to sign Jamie Vardy on a free transfer after his contract with Leicester City expired in the summer.
Vardy has held talks with Everton over a potential move, but no decision has been made on his future.
David Moyes wants a new striker at the Hill Dickinson Stadium as the Toffees have struggled in the final third in recent seasons.

The 38-year-old is currently working on his fitness ahead of making a decision on his future in the coming weeks.
As Vardy is a free agent, he does not need to finalise his transfer ahead of the deadline on 1 September and still has a while to make up his mind.

According to the Daily Mail on 19 August, the former England international is in no rush to make a decision on his future as he’s currently working on maintaining his fitness by training in Portugal.
Along with the Toffees, Rangers, Celtic, Napoli and Brentford have all made offers or enquiries into signing him.

Everton should look to sign Vardy on a free transfer
Signing Vardy on a free transfer could be a shrewd move for Everton, as the 38-year-old Leicester City legend brings proven Premier League quality and experience.
Despite his age, his clinical finishing and relentless work rate make him a valuable addition to Moyes’ squad, which has struggled for consistent goal-scoring.
With Calvert-Lewin gone, Vardy’s low-cost acquisition offers a short-term solution without financial risk.
His leadership and knack for decisive goals could galvanise Everton’s fight against relegation.
Additionally, Vardy’s familiarity with playing a style similar to that which Moyes has deployed, ensures a seamless fit, boosting Everton’s attacking depth for the 2025/26 season.
