Manchester United forward Gabriele Biancheri is set to depart Old Trafford on a loan deal this summer, with several League One and Two clubs plotting a move for his signature.
The 18-year-old is currently apart of Manchester United‘s U21s side, heading into the 2025/26 Premier League 2 season – but it appears as though his season will be consisting of EFL football rather than youth.
The Red Devils began their Premier League campaign with a defeat against Arsenal, with business throughout the club far from over this summer.
Manchester United starlet set for exit
As reported by journalist Pete O’Rourke, a number of League One and Two sides are eyeing a loan move for Manchester United U21s forward Gabriele Biancheri.
Biancheri has previously played for League One side Cardiff City and is continuing to apply his patience as he waits for a first-team opportunity at Old Trafford.
He recently secured a professional contract at Manchester United after originally arriving as a scholar.
How has he fared this season?
The versatile forward featured 35 times across all competitions for Manchester United last season. He regularly played for both their U18s and U21s sides.
During those matches, Biancheri scored 21 goals and provided six additional assists. This included seven goal contributions in just 11 matches for their U21s in the Premier League 2.
This season, Biancheri has already featured in the Premier League 2, playing over an hour during a victory against Middlesbrough.
However, it doesn’t appear to be likely that this tally is improved, with a first-team loan opportunity edging closer.
Which clubs could benefit from his arrival?
Based on teams starts to the season, League Two side Notts County could certainly be a possible destination for him. They still need to find options to replace David McGoldrick’s goals whilst also getting their first win in the division.
As he is Welsh, Newport County could be another potential destination for the 18-year-old.
Bristol Rovers have also had a disappointing start to the current season and could eye a move for his goals to fire them back into the right side of the table.
No side has been officially credited with an interest yet, but with the window closing in less than two weeks – interest is highly likely to increase.
