Aston Villa forward Morgan Rogers has won the Professional Footballers' Association (PFA) Men's Young Player of the Year award.

becomes the first player to win the prestigious award since in 2010, a year after Ashley Young had also won it as a Villa player.

Rogers received the honour from his fellow professionals despite strong competition from Liam Delap, Dean Huijsen, Milos Kerkez, Myles Lewis-Skelly, and Ethan Nwaneri, who all made the six-man shortlist.

Rogers enjoyed a sensational 2024/25 campaign under Unai Emery, which was his first full season in claret and blue.

He registered 27 goal contributions in 54 matches across all competitions, including eight goals and 10 assists in the Premier League.

Rogers joined Villa from Middlesbrough in January 2024 for an initial £8 million, rising to £15 million with add-ons.

He made his senior England debut in November and has featured in all six of the Three Lions’ recent matches.

Thomas Tuchel is reportedly monitoring Rogers’ progress closely ahead of potentially granting him a significant role in England’s squad for the 2026 World Cup next summer.

What will Rogers achieve this season?
