John Wall is entering the next phase of his life willingly but not wholly.
In his mind, he’s still a hooper who should be on an NBA roster, running an offense, mentoring young players and closing out his career on his terms. In reality, he is about to turn 35, a father of two who has gone more than two seasons without receiving the call he has wanted to hear.
