JACKSONVILLE – Jaguars 2025 Training Camp continued Tuesday.
It was the 17th day of the first training camp under Head Coach Liam Coen, featuring about an hour-and-15-minute in helmets and shorts at the Miller Electric Center. Each day throughout camp, members of Jaguars Media – senior writer John Oehser, senior correspondent Brian Sexton, senior reporter/editor J.P. Shadrick and team reporter Kainani Stevens – will share an observation.
Here are Tuesday's "campservations:"
John Oehser, Jaguars Senior Writer…
The Jaguars on Tuesday moved into Preseason Week 3 with a comparatively light, short Day 17 practice a day before traveling to South Florida for a joint practice against the Miami Dolphins Thursday. With Tuesday heavy on details and assignments – and light on "live," highlight plays – we'll focus these "campservations" on overall thoughts as camp draws to a close. A key development in recent weeks has been solidifying the running game. That the Jaguars have run effectively and impressively in spots in the first two preseason games is a positive sign for Head Coach Liam Coen, who expressed confidence in the area Tuesday with the caveat that it's still preseason and the Jaguars have yet to play against an opponent's first-team defense. Whatever the starting level of the opponent, the Jaguars appear to be embracing Coen's mindset that this team must run effectively when it needs to run. That must be this team's identity. The glimpses we have seen in this vein so far doesn't guarantee success, but they're signs that the Jaguars may be moving in the right direction.
