Real Madrid made tough work of beating Osasuna at home on Tuesday evening, with a Kylian Mbappe penalty seeing them take a 1-0 win in La Liga on the night - though many players didn't cover themselves in glory.
It was a tough first half hour for Los Blancos, with no real chances of note barring a penalty shout for Mbappe, though his appeals were waved away - with the next biggest shout being Xabi Alonso telling his side to get the ball forward. That didn't work though, and the Basque went into the break level.
However, a reckless tackle by Juan Cruz felled Mbappe in the box just five minutes into the second half, and the Frenchman dusted himself off to score the opener and relieve any fears in the capital.
Osasuna opened up a little in search of an equaliser, making themselves more vulnerable to conceding again as a result, but chances were few and far between, with their best effort coming from a corner. They'll take the win, though, especially after a red card for Abel Bretones in stoppage time - and GIVEMESPORTtalks you through how the players rated.

Real Madrid Player Ratings
Xabi Alonso
Thibaut Courtois - 6/10
Had absolutely nothing to do in the first half, with Osasuna failing to muster even a single shot on target in the opening 45. That continued in the second period.
Trent Alexander-Arnold - 6/10
Another player who had a lot of the ball, but Alexander-Arnold didn't influence the game much going forward. Replaced without doing much in the final third on his league debut.
Eder Militao - 5/10
His error led to the only Osasuna effort of the first half, and ultimately the game, but his blushes were spared and he again had little influence.
Dean Huijsen 8/10 (Man of the Match)
real madrid huijsen
The Spain international was strong on the ball, with a top-notch pass success rate, clearances and even shots to boot - but his efforts weren't matched by his teammates in the opening 45, as they continued to huff and puff in the second half. A strong La Liga bow from the former Bournemouth star.
Alvaro Fernandez - 6/10
Yet another debutant. The former Manchester United star had the game's first shot, which was drilled wide, but he couldn't quite perform to his creative best despite failing to be troubled by the Pamplona-based side.
Federico Valverde - 6/10
He acted as the physical driving nature to wreak havoc on the Osasuna midfield, but his efforts were largely average. Was better in the second half when he halted Osasuna's attacking approach with ease.
Aurelien Tchouameni - 6/10
Largely used as a 'third centre-back' whilst the wing-backs influenced the game going forward, but he didn't have much joy going forward himself. Rock solid in the middle and almost scored a header.
Arda Guler - 6/10
A couple of nice touches and passes, but his left foot wasn't influential in the left channel. Would have been much more suited to the other flank, being able to cut in and cause chaos.
Brahim Diaz - 7/10
Some excellent crossing and passing, but you can't help but feel Guler's more daring nature would have been better suited to Los Blancos on the night. One of Madrid's better players.
Vinicius Jr - 5/10
The tenacious star often has joy down the left, but he couldn't quite pick out any of his teammates in the first half. His most impressive aspect was his pressing, which says a lot.
Kylian Mbappe - 7/10
Had half a penalty shout in the first half, before a wrapped effort evaded the post, but it didn't quite trouble Herrera. He was still lively regardless, and his efforts paid off when he was fouled to score the opener.
SUB - Franco Mastantuono - 6/10
A debut for what surely will be a long stretch of appearances in a white shirt. He did well with Guler moving over to the right flank eventually and even took set-pieces, which is a telling sign for the teenager - almost profiting from Tchouameni's header and scoring himself.
SUB - Dani Carvajal - 5/10
Brought into the defence for Trent, and the skipper's experience was ideal for that moment in the game.
SUB - Gonzalo Garcia - 4/10
Came on to replace Vinicius late on.
SUB - Dani Ceballos - 4/10
Arrived for fresh legs as we headed into added-time.
Osasuna Player Ratings
Osasuna players celebrating
Osasuna players celebrating
Sergio Herrera - 7/10
Three saves in the first half set the tone, and he led from the back - but the majority of the shots were routine for him. Couldn't do much with the penalty.
Alejandro Catena - 7/10
Solid in the heart of defence and cleared anything that came into his path.
Flavien Boyomo - 8/10
Tasked with facing Vinicius and did extremely well to keep him quiet in the final third - something that others have failed to do in the past.
Juan Cruz - 5/10
Could have fared slightly better at being proactive in the tackle against Diaz, but he showed why that was the case when he recklessly lunged in on Mbappe to concede the first penalty and give Real the lead.
Valentin Rosier - 6/10
Used as the pacy outlet out wide but lost the ball more often than not. Contributed well.
Lucas Torro - 7/10
Sturdy in the centre and did well at stopping the creativity at source.
Jon Moncayola - 7/10
Strong with his passing and acted as the real glue in the Osasuna midfield. He continues to be a real stalwart for Alessio Lisci as their box-to-box midfielder.
Abel Bretones - 7/10
Energetic in the tackle and was ideal for doubling back as a wing-back when needed, as opposed to being just a wide midfielder. Osasuna's best player - but he was sent off in stoppage time.
Aimar Oroz - 6/10
The outlet for Osasuna to fashion a rare chance, and although he was strong with his passing, their defensive nature meant he found it quite tough to do so.
Ante Budemir - 6/10
Tireless performance, but he was feeding on absolute scraps and chasing shadows. Missed a half-chance towards the end in a bid to equalise, in which he should have done better.
Ruben Garcia - 6/10
Wasn't much doing for him chance-wise, but he didn't embarrass himself going forward on a rare foray.
SUB - Victor Munoz - 5/10
Brought on for added energy up front but couldn't quite get the service he wanted.
SUB - Moi Gomez - 4/10
Introduced late to try and conjure up a late chance for an unlikely point.
SUB - Raul Garcia de Haro - 3/10
Thrown on late to add firepower.
