Bournemouth strike '€29m deal' for Bayer Leverkusen attacker

Bournemouth have reportedly reached an agreement with Bayer Leverkusen over the transfer of Amine Adli.

The Cherries recently sold Dango Ouattara to fellow Premier League side Brentford, while Luis Sinisterra is believed to be heading to Cruzeiro in Brazil.

As a result, Bournemouth have been working on strengthening their attacking ranks before the summer transfer window shuts on September 1.

On Monday, they completed the £25m signing of a Scottish winger, Ben Doak, from Premier League champions Liverpool.

The Cherries are now on the brink of adding another attacker to Andoni Iraola's squad ahead of Saturday's Premier League home meeting with Wolverhampton Wanderers.

The Bundesliga club are happy to sanction Adli's departure after**reaching an agreement with Manchester City** over a loan move for Claudio Echeverri.

Adli is expected to undergo his medical in the next 24 hours before he can be announced as the newest member of Iraola's squad.

Who is Amine Adli?

The 25-year-old started his career with French side Toulouse, where he made 43 competitive appearances before joining Leverkusen in 2021.

Adli has gone on to feature in 143 matches across all competitions, scoring 23 goals and providing 25 assists.

However, he has made just 14 Bundesliga starts in the past two seasons, so he will be keen to gain regular playing time with Bournemouth.

Adli will bring versatility to the south coast side, having proven he can play as a winger, a number 10 and as a centre-forward during his career.
