Applebee's has been on the verge of a big comeback as of late. Now, as the official grill and bar partner of the NFL, the chain has launched a new value item just in time for football season-and it's great for those who suffer from decision-making paralysis.
Ever spent 15 minutes staring at the menu as you try to choose between regular fries or waffle fries? Or had an experience where the rest of the table wants onion rings, but you're the only one who wants pretzels? Applebee's new Ultimate Trio is putting those situations to bed. It's an app sampler platter that lets customers choose three appetizers and three dipping sauces from ten available options for each. Per the press release, this means there are 81,600 possible combinations.

The available apps include: Boneless Wings, Mozzarella Sticks, Chicken Quesadilla, Crunchy Onion Rings, Chicken Wonton Tacos, Brew Pub Pretzels, Riblets, Double Crunch Shrimp, Waffle Fries, and Classic Fries.
Then to dip, there's Classic Buffalo, Honey BBQ, Sweet Asian Chile, House-Made Ranch, Bleu Cheese, Honey Dijon Mustard, Marinara Sauce, Chipotle Lime Salsa, Cocktail Sauce, and Blue Moon White Cheddar Beer Cheese.
The Ultimate Trio costs $14.99, and with its launch, Applebee's is extending the 2 for $25 deal. This means you could get three apps and two entrees for just $40-before tip, of course.
There are some new beverages hitting the menu too. On the alcoholic side, there's the $6 Juicy Sweep Sangria, made with Barefoot Moscato and Smirnoff, and the $6 Rummin' Back Daq, a strawberry daiquiri made with spiced Captain Morgan.
On the soft drink side, Applebee's is launching a trio of Dirty Sodas, mixed with half and half and topped with whipped cream. There's Cherry Charmed Pepsi, blended with grenadine, Passion Blue Dew, mixing Mountain Dew Dark Berry Bash (try saying that five times fast) and passionfruit, and Mango Dream Dew, mixing classic Mountain Dew with mango.
