Official: Harrison Murray-Campbell signs new Chelsea contract

Chelsea announced yesterday that youngster Harrison Murray-Campbell has put pen to paper on a new contract, committing his future to the club for the next two years, through 2027. That’s not exactly a long-term commitment, but that’s just how it goes sometimes. His previous contract was set to expire next summer.

The 18-year-old center back has already made his senior debut, coming off the bench for an extended half-hour cameo in our 5-1 win over Shamrock Rovers last year, in the final group stage game of our UEFA Conference League campaign. He was a mainstay of the U21 team otherwise, and he started as usual the other day, in the opening match of the new PL2 season as well (with Chelsea beating defending champions Manchester City, 3-1).

Born in Luton, Murray-Campbell has been in the Chelsea Academy since age 8 and has also been a regular member of the England youth international teams (including at the U19 Euros earlier this summer).

I’m delighted to have signed a new contract for my boyhood club, i’d like to thank my family, friends, coaches and players for their support over the years.
