All the latest news and transfer rumours surrounding Chelsea as they turn their attention to West Ham.

Chelsea are now looking ahead to Friday’s Premier League clash with London rivals West Ham after a frustrating draw with Crystal Palace in their opener. The Blues looked good in spells, but they ultimately failed to find the back of the net, and they go into week two still looking for their first win.

In the meantime, the Blues are still looking for new recruits, and exits are a key part to making those new signings happen. Here we round up all the latest news and transfer rumours surrounding Stamford Bridge.

Garnacho ‘talks’

Chelsea are said to be in ‘active talks’ to sign Manchester United star Alejandro Garnacho, who has been marked for exit at Old Trafford. The Blues have been interested in Garnacho for months, but they did not move for him in January, and they have not been able to sign him to date this summer because of the fact they need to offload players.

The report claims Chelsea are now in talks with United decision-makers to see whether a deal can be done, and if so, at what price. United will be open to a sale, but much will come down with how much they ask for. The Blues also want to sign Xavi Simons and a centre-back, so they will have to spend carefully. Chelsea undoubtedly need a winger after selling Noni Madueke this summer.

Veiga latest

Chelsea could be a step closer to offloading Renato Veiga, but a deal is in their own hands. According to BBC Sport, the Blues outcast has agreed personal terms with Villarreal over a move to the Champions League club, but a deal is not done yet.

According to the report, Chelsea wants £34million for the versatile defender, but Villarreal are said to want a deal for under £30million. It will be in Chelsea’s hands, and as they look to sell players in order to pull off incoming deals, clubs may now be willing to hold out the Blues to get the deal they want. Veiga impressed on loan with Juventus last season but does not have a place under Maresca.

Willian loving life at Chelsea

New Chelsea star Estevao Willian has been speaking about how he is fitting in to life at Stamford Bridge. He told the club website: “I feel so good. It’s an incredible experience to be here playing in the Premier League and I’m just so grateful I have been given the opportunity here.

“I have adapted a lot quicker than I thought I would thanks to the manager, the coaching staff and all my new team-mates. They have all helped me so much and given everything to me since I arrived to make me feel comfortable and give me confidence. Everyone has helped me adapt to the game, but also the new conditions here.”

Willian added: “I’m enjoying every minute and I’m not trying to make things happen faster. I’m just trying to take it day by day and enjoy it as much as I can.”
