Everton are pursuing a deal to sign Tyler Dibling from Southampton in the remaining couple of weeks of the season.
David Moyes has made a right-winger a top priority, having lost Jesper Lindstrom and Jack Harrison in that area of the pitch.
Everton have been trying to sign Tyler Dibling, but the Championship promotion hopefuls have stood firm in their lofty valuation.
Southampton have sent the Toffees a counter-offer which can be accepted at any time, however, it seems Moyes and his chiefs are still trying to negotiate a lower fee.
Now, there has been a sudden twist in the Dibling deal with a fresh development emerging.

Everton have competition for Tyler Dibling
It seemed as though Everton had a free run at Dibling, making a deal very likely if the clubs can find a common ground on the fee.
However, there has been a sudden twist in the last 24 hours, as according to talkSPORT, Crystal Palace have now entered the race to land his signature.
The report claims that Palace are considering a move for Dibling, with Eberechi Eze closing in on a £60m transfer to Tottenham Hotspur.
MORE EVERTON STORIES
Palace boast European football and the location is a lot closer to home for the 19-year-old, so they’ll provide really stiff competition.
Everton could turn to Malick Fofana
If Everton learn that Dibling would rather join Palace, or perhaps the clubs remain too far apart in valuations, then they’ll likely turn to Malick Fofana.
The Toffees remain interested in Fofana, having already had a £31m bid rejected by the French giants earlier in the window.
The 20-year-old has recently fuelled speculation surrounding his future as he didn’t rule out a late transfer.
“If I stay at OL? Trick question. In football, anything can happen,” Fofana explained.
“If I stay, it will be by being happy to stay at Lyon. That’s it, we’ll see. It’s not that I want to leave, but if we have a good opportunity, we’ll see.”
Takefusa Kubo is also on Moyes’ shortlist.
