The summer transfer window is fast approaching its end and Liverpool still have some business that needs to be completed. Eight new signings have been made by the Reds, so far this summer, and there is every likelihood that there could be more on the way.
September 1 marks deadline day for Liverpool - and the rest of the Premier League. It remains to be seen exactly what business the Reds will look to complete before the window slams shut, but plenty of possibilities are still on the table for them.
Arne Slot's squad have started the new Premier League season in perfect style - with a victory over Bournemouth last Friday night. While preparing to meet Newcastle United this Monday night, Liverpool will also likely be working behind the scenes on deals aiming to be completed ahead of the deadline.
Here, the ECHO takes a look at some key decisions that Liverpool could make before September 1;
End Isak saga and sign another forward
It's no secret that Liverpool have held an interest in signing Alexander Isak this summer. After having a £110million offer rejected earlier this month, there's been ongoing speculation about whether or not the Sweden international will end up at Anfield.
In a dream scenario, Liverpool would be able to agree a deal with Newcastle and bring Isak to Merseyside as the player and the Reds desire. A lot has to happen to make that a reality, though, including the Magpies being willing to accept a fee.
Liverpool would also be wise to go into the market for a wide forward this summer - following Diaz's departure. Lyon star Malick Fofana has been linked with a move to the Reds, while there were even rumours that Paris Saint-Germain forward Bradley Barcola may be a target.
Bring in Guehi to partner van Dijk
It's also no secret that Liverpool are still looking to snap-up another defender. The arrival of Giovanni Leoni is not stopping the Reds from being credited with an interest in signing another centre-back.
Crystal Palace star Marc Guehi has been linked with Liverpool for some time, and the Reds remain in talks over a potential deal for the England international. With Guehi out of contract next summer, Liverpool will be hopeful of reaching an agreement to bring Guehi to Anfield before September 1.
However, there is still the matter of agreeing a transfer fee with Palace, which may not be easy to do. If it can be done, though, it would be a major boost to Liverpool for the season ahead.
Sanction more exits to offset huge summer spend
A lot has been said of Liverpool's incoming business this summer - but the Reds have, also, sanctioned more than £200million worth of sales this window. Ben Doak's £25million move to Bournemouth is the latest departure from the squad and there could be more before the window closes.
Kostas Tsimikas and Harvey Elliott are still be linked with moves away from Liverpool and could head for the exit door before the deadline next month. The Reds would need to agree the moves beforehand, of course, while the duo would only leave if the club's proposed terms are met.
