Leeds United celebrated their Premier League return with a 1-0 victory over Everton at a buzzing Elland Road on Monday night.
Despite Daniel Farke's side showing more attacking prowess throughout the game, a penalty ultimately tipped the scales. Substitute Lukas Nmecha, making his Premier League debut, confidently converted the penalty with just six minutes remaining - sparking huge celebrations.
Thar win gives Leeds an early boost of three points, with Farke's squad next in action on Saturday evening with a tough trip to Arsenal. With the transfer window open until September 1, there is potential for further additions to bolster their bid for top-flight survival.
With all that said, below are some of the latest media reports surrounding Leeds - along with a view on each one;
Hojlund boost
Leeds United have been linked with a surprise summer swoop for Manchester United striker Rasmus Hojlund. The Dane faces an uncertain future at Old Trafford after the arrival of Benjamin Sesko.
Clubs from Italy have been most heavily linked - although a surprise switch to Fulham has, also, been mooted. That will now be complicated amid reports from The Mirror that Rodrigo Muniz's Craven Cottage exit has fallen through.
It means that Leeds will now have a better chance of landing the 22-year-old if he wishes to remain in the Premier League, although moves have already been made in attacking quarters.
LeedsLive says: "Hojlund needs a fresh start and deserves a second shot with another Premier League team. He still has plenty of potential to improve, although he is likely to need to take a wage cut if he wants to join Leeds this summer."
Front-runners claim
Leeds United are claimed to be one of the front-runners in the chase to snap-up Nantes striker Matthis Abline. The Frenchman scored 11 goals in 36 appearances across all competitions for Nantes last season.
And Caught Offside claim that negotiations between Leeds and Nantes are already underway. Sources close to the player are said to have suggested that he is open to the move.
LeedsLive says: "Abline has a lot of potential, but the Whites need more Premier League experience up front. Free agent Jamie Vardy may not be a bad move for them if he can overcome his Sheffield Wednesday ties to join Leeds."
