Leeds United have completely cooled their interest in Kalvin Phillips
Kalvin Phillips is not part of Manchester City’s plans, and the club are desperate to move him on all summer. However, he is still at the club ahead of the end of the window.
A return to Leeds has been mooted all summer, and the Whites were indeed interested in signing him on loan earlier in the window.
However, the Whites signed Anton Stach and Sean Longstaff, and according to the Daily Mail, he is no longer a target for Leeds towards the end of the summer.
The Whites have cooled their interest in the player and are no longer considering taking him back to Elland Road in the ongoing transfer window.
A few Premier League clubs are still considering snapping up the midfielder before the window closes on 1st September, but nothing is advanced at the moment.
Leeds are focused on adding to their forward line before the end of the window, and the club have collectively moved on from Phillips.
Leeds have other priorities
Phillips would have preferred a return to Leeds, but the club set their stall out early and snapped up Stach and Longstaff to bolster their midfield options.
Leeds are set to sign Okafor, and the club are still in the market for an attacking midfielder, a striker and one more full-back before the end of the window.
Their midfield looks stacked, and it doesn’t seem the club are close to selling any of their midfielders before the transfer window closes on 1st September.
The former Leeds star’s stock is at an all-time low, and the Whites never really made a concrete move to sign him any time during the summer.
