Liverpool have dominated the transfer window this summer, with the Reds being one of the busiest teams in the Premier League.
And, even though Liverpool have already spent an extortionate amount of money this summer, due to the number of sales they’ve made, there’s still room for them to make more additions.
Alexander Isak is one of their reported targets as he has been for some time now, with Newcastle’s talisman even putting out a statement that he doesn’t think the relationship between the two can go on anymore.

However, even though the Reds want Isak and the striker wants to make the move to Anfield, talks haven’t been reopened for his transfer and at the moment, it’s unclear whether they will be or not.
Phil McNulty has a ‘hunch’ about Alexander Isak to Liverpool this summer
There’s no hiding from the fact that Isak’s transfer to Liverpool would likely make them one of, if not the best, teams in the world.
Indeed, they managed to storm away with the Premier League title last term, but with the way things have panned out thus far, it’s clear that the team needs some time to gel.
And, in a report for BBC Sport, BBC chief Phil McNulty gave his thoughts on Isak’s potential move to Anfield.
“I would prioritise another central defender, perhaps also another left-sided attacking player, although I still have a hunch we will see Alexander Isak at Liverpool before the transfer window closes,” he said via the BBC Sport website.

What Phil McNulty expects Liverpool to still do in the transfer window this summer
Although Arne Slot’s main goal will likely be to try and bring Isak in this summer, there are still a couple of areas within his first-team squad that could also do with bolstering.
At the moment, you’d expect Liverpool to have more than enough players to cover themselves, but in reality, with the sales of players such as Luis Diaz and Darwin Nunez, it’s clear that another winger is needed.
That is, even if Federico Chiesa has now chosen that he’d prefer to stay at Liverpool and fight for his place.
McNulty also shared his thoughts on the Reds’ situation and said the following: “An injury to Van Dijk would be seriously damaging, so I’m sure this is something Liverpool are looking at, with talks having already been held about a deal for Crystal Palace captain Marc Guehi.
“I expect Liverpool to sign a central defender before the window closes.”

If Liverpool can manage to add another attacker and centre-back to their ranks this summer, then it would genuinely be one of the best ever transfer windows from a club in one season.
Of course, only time will tell whether the Reds will have the funds to do this, but, if they manage to, it’s hard to see how any other team would have what it takes to prise the Premier League title from their hands.
