Alejandro Garnacho‘Only Wants Chelsea’; Dismisses Bayern Munich: Reports

Alejandro Garnacho has reportedly insisted, once again, that Chelsea is the only team he wants to play for. Bayern Munich’s recent attempts to get in touch with his camp were met with a firm and polite response. According to Fabrizio Romano, his agents informed the German giants that the Manchester United winger doesn’t want to play for any other team right now.

A lot of top clubs have been interested in the 20-year-old this summer, but Chelsea have the upper hand in negotiations because he is so committed to the Blues. Reports say that Garnacho and Chelsea have already agreed on a deal, but the final thing to agree on is price. Chelsea doesn’t want to pay Manchester United £50–70 million, which the Red Devils have insisted on.

Chelsea need to keep a positive balance in the window, which makes this transfer even harder because of PSR and Financial Fair Play rules. That means that players will probably have to leave Stamford Bridge before Garnacho’s signing can be completed.

Bayern won’t work for Garnacho, which shows how badly the winger wants to move to London. The Bavarians didn’t get any positive response at all, even though they wanted to improve their options on the wing. Newcastle and other Premier League teams that were watching the situation have also been turned down.

This determination could be just what Chelsea needs. In the end, Manchester United might have to lower their demands because Garnacho isn’t going to look at other options.

How Chelsea Target Garnacho Became an Outcast at Old Trafford

Alejandro Garnacho’s time at Manchester United hasn’t been easy, even though he quickly went from being a promising academy player to a regular on the first team.

The Argentine winger was signed from Atletico Madrid’s youth team in 2020. He became famous quickly, winning the FA Youth Cup in 2022 and then becoming an important player under Erik ten Hag. He made a big mark, like when he scored in the FA Cup final and won the Puskas Award for an overhead kick against Everton.

Things turned negative between Garnacho and United, though, after Ruben Amorim became the new manager. It got worse when he didn’t start in the Europa League final last season. He openly questioned Amorim’s decision not to play him, and he was told he could leave Old Trafford.

Since then, he has been training with the second team, and he even said he would sit out the season if he couldn’t find another club. Manchester United think he is worth between £50 million and £70 million, but it’s harder for other clubs to sign him because he wants to play for Chelsea.
