Player arrived in England on Tuesday evening to sign for Leeds United – Formalities on Wednesday

On Tuesday morning, we covered claims from Italy that Leeds United have reached a total agreement with AC Milan to sign Noah Okafor for €21m including bonuses.

Later that day, journalist Orazio Accomando reported the forward and his entourage were given permission to travel to the UK to complete his move to Elland Road. He also said the 25-year-old is expected to undergo medical tests with the Whites on Wednesday.

Okafor has already travelled to the UK if Wednesday’s edition of Gazzetta dello Sport is to be believed.

They report the player arrived in England on Tuesday evening and will undergo medical tests with Leeds today. His time at the San Siro is about to end as Daniel Farke’s side will soon make his signing official.

Gazzetta say Leeds will pay €19m plus €2m bonuses to the Rossoneri, while other claims have said the fixed fee is around €20m.

The Switzerland international, who spent the second half of last season on loan at Napoli, impressed new Milan manager Massimiliano Allegri during the pre-season.

The Italian club reportedly wanted to retain him but decided to sell after receiving a rich offer from Leeds.
