Real Madrid to reduce price tag of Arsenal target

Reports suggest Real Madrid may be willing to lower their price tag for winger Rodrygo. They are keeping alive talk of a possible Arsenal swoop before the transfer window closes.

Real Madrid to reduce Rodrygo’s price tag

The North London giants, Arsenal are yet to place an official bid for Rodrygo but the whispers continue to grow louder as the window ticks down. Spanish journalist Guillem Balague has revealed that Real Madrid have not received any approach from the Gunners. Although, the door remains open.

The La Liga side had initially slapped a €100m price tag on their Brazilian star. But, insiders believe that could fall to around €60m if negotiations drag into the final days of the market.

For the Gunners, timing is everything. Mikel Arteta needs the arrival of a proven winner like Rodrygo would instantly raise the bar. With Manchester City out of the running after choosing to keep Savinho, Arsenal may have a clear run if they choose to push forward. Meanwhile, the Los Blancos are in no rush to sell, especially since Rodrygo has not formally requested an exit.

The winger could transform Arsenal’s title push

Rodrygo has already built a trophy cabinet many veterans would be jealous of. Three La Liga titles, two UCL titles and a Copa del Rey. That says a lot about someone that performs on the biggest of stages. For Arsenal, that sort of pedigree could prove invaluable.

The winger naturally prefers to play from the left but his minutes have been limited at Madrid. A switch to the Emirates would give him freedom to thrive. He will potentially push the Gunners closer to ending their long wait for glory.

The North London side are still planning to make a move. But, if Madrid do ease their demands, this could be one of the deals of the summer.
