Sky: Bayer Leverkusen star Boniface a target for Milan again – the latest

Victor Boniface remains on AC Milan’s list of attacking targets for the final part of the window, according to reports.

A lot of the media attention in the past few days has been about Dusan Vlahovic and Rasmus Hojlund. However, Boniface’s name emerged a few weeks ago before going quiet, though now it has popped up once again.

Boniface: Back on the radar?

Sky report that Boniface ‘has been added to the Rossoneri’s list of attacking targets’. The Bayer Leverkusen star is a profile that sporting director Igli Tare had already evaluated at the beginning of July, even initiating some contacts between the parties.

Milan are still searching for a centre-forward to partner Santiago Gimenez, and Boniface is a profile that the management ‘have once again carefully considered’. However, it is no made clear what the costs of the potential operation would be.

Gianluca Di Marzio (via MilanNews) took stock of Milan’s striker hunt too, stating Di Marzio : “It’s not just Højlund and Vlahovic: the name of Victor Boniface, a Nigerian striker owned by Bayer Leverkusen, is back on the list.”

The 24-year-old scored eight goals in 19 Bundesliga games last season in what was an injury-hit campaign. However, Milan have been linked with him since his days at Union Saint-Gilloise in the Belgian league.
