Trossard set for new Arsenal deal

Arsenal have rewarded Belgian forward Leandro Trossard with a new and improved contract. This comes given the significant raise after his impressive performances last season.

Trossard secures reward from Arsenal

Leandro Trossard has become a key part of Mikel Arteta’s attacking unit since arriving in 2023. **Arsenal**have now recognised his value with a huge salary increase, as per The Athletic.

Trossard is a player who will give regular high-level performances when called on. He scored 17 goals in all competitions last season, scoring 12 goals in the PL. He played in all the league matches last season as well. He has clinical finishing in addition to the fact he played multiple positions within the forward line too. That gave the head coach Arteta the flexibility that he needed as the club was challenging across multiple competitions.

Although, the pay increase did not extend the time of Trossard’s stay with the club beyond 2027. It shows how much the club is willing to trust him to continue to give his best in big matches.

Gunners shut door on transfer rumours

There had been rumours earlier in the window about Aston Villa showing interest in Trossard. That is especially after their search for a new forward following Marcus Rashford’s exit from a loan spell. Now, Arsenal have made it clear that he is central to their plans.

New signings will come in to give some level of competition for minutes. But, Trossard remains a key aspect of Arteta’s attack for now. He has great work-rate, willingness to shoot and reliability in big games. That has helped him to fit into a fan-favourite role at the Emirates.

To reward one of its most regular performers feels big of a statement. The Gunners understand that at times it can come down to being able to keep top players like Trossard happy.
