FIBA and NBA plays are different. The minutes per quarter, the calls, the plays. But when you got Milwaukee Bucks Giannis Antetokounmpo on your team, the way to go is through his capabilities. That’s what Tyler Dorsey is hinting about their plan for EuroBasket 2025.

Greece is contending for the top European basketball award this August and according to betting odds, they are in the Top 4 of those who have the best chance to win it all.
The Greek Freak is the biggest reason behind it and Dorsey, who became a naturalized Greek citizen in 2023 and has been playing for the national team since then, they got a good chance to grab the gold medal.
“I wouldn’t look at it as pressure,” he said when asked about Greece’s chances.
“It’s just a blessing and a great opportunity. I don’t have a medal in my career, and Greece hasn’t medaled in a while. We have a chance.”
They are working hard and Giannis is leading the way. Dorsey hinted what their offense will look like with the Greek Freak around.

“Every single detail you can think about to make him better, he’s doing it. Everybody’s watching him—even our team. He’s a great leader. He draws five guys all game, so we’re pretty much open.”
Giannis Antetokounmpo-centered offense with Milwaukee Bucks
Anybody who follows Antetokounmpo’s career should not be surprised if Greece head coach Vassilis Spanoulis employ the same tactic that all Bucks coach used in the past decade.
The two-time MVP’s gravity is unmatched and this is why the front office is surrounding him with players who complement his skills well.
These skills include post-game and passing.

For the 2025-26 season, Bucks coach Doc Rivers and general manager Jon Horst hinted that Giannis will play a lot of point forward. The team got big men who can shoot and guards who are also prolific in the three point line.
The question for Greece is now is if the players around the Greek Freak are of the same quality.
