While so much of the talk will centre around strikers over the final two weeks of August, there could be more outgoings at Newcastle United.
We’ve already seen the following depart:
* Sean Longstaff (Leeds)
* Martin Dubrakva (Burnley)
* Callum Wilson – Released t(West Ham)
* Isaac Hayden – Released
* Jamal Lewis – Released
* Antonio Cordero – Westerlo on loan
* Odysseas Vlachodimos – Sevilla on loan
* Joe White – Leyton Orient on loan
Two sold, three released and three ‘senior’ players or project signings loaned out, but more could follow,
According to [The Athletic](https://www.nytimes.com/athletic/6559975/2025/08/19/transfer-latest-eberechi-eze-marc-guehi-arsenal-manchester-united-liverpool-tottenham-hotspur/), **Jamaal Lascelle**s is one of three defenders facing an uncertain future.
With Malick Thiaw’s arrival pushing the club captain down to fifth choice in the centre-back pecking order, the 31-year-old could move on for game time elsewhere before the deadline on Monday 1st September.
Two others who are currently available are full-backs **Matt Targett** and **Harrison Ashby**; two players who featured over pre-season, despite not being close to Eddie Howe’s first team plans.
Lascelles is in the final year of his contract at the club, meaning we could land a small fee this summer, while Targett and Ashby have been made available, with Newcastle happy to let both go should the right offer arrive.
Ashby is behind Livramento, Trippier and Krafth in the right-back pecking order, while Targett seems unlikely to get minutes at left-back any time soon, with Tino the first in line to fill in should Hall suffer an injury.
