Galatasaray are still trying to close a deal for Manchester City goalkeeper Ederson, after months of efforts, and patience is starting to thin in the media around the club.
The Super Lig side have been linked with the 32-year-old all summer as they work to fill the void left by the departed Fernando Muslera, who was a club legend.
Sabah pile the pressure on those in charge at Gala, stating that after the Turkish club’s big talk about replacing Muslera, they’ve let everything drag on too long. Therefore, those in charge are told they need to agree a deal for Ederson this week… ‘no matter what’.
That pressure may help the deal along, as officials at Turkish clubs are very public and don’t like being questioned.
Previous reports stated Ederson has agreed personal terms with Cimbom, but the issue has been agreeing a transfer fee with his club. Sabah report Gala don’t want to pay more than €10m for a goalkeeper and are looking for Manchester City to drop the asking price.
Ederson made 40 appearances in all competitions last season and is contracted to Manchester City until June 2026.
