Desire to loan Brighton player – Tottenham man seen as alternative if deal fails

Earlier this month, Corriere dello Sport reported Brighton’s Matt O’Riley and Tottenham’s Yves Bissouma are among the midfield targets at Juventus.

The Old Lady have given up on Sporting’s Morten Hjulmand, after wilding undervaluing the player and then being shocked the Portuguese club didn’t agree with them.

O’Riley and Bissouma are still on Juve’s radar, and Gazzetta dello Sport cover that today.

As of now, the Brighton midfielder is a more important target for the Bianconeri. They will try to sign the Dane on a loan deal late in the transfer window, having been previously interested in a permanent transfer.

O’Riley is seen as a low-cost alternative to Hjulmand but there is uncertainty over whether Brighton would agree to sanction a temporary move for the 24-year-old.

This is why Tottenham’s Bissouma is seen as another option. The Mali international would occupy a non-EU spot at the Turin club and they have one available.

Juventus are likely to try and get a bargain from somewhere at the end of the month.
